Pysanky Egg Art has arrived in The Eggnog Shop!
Excited to announce this new product now available in The Eggnog Shop. Ukrainian egg art, otherwise known as Pysanky. This fine art style goes back generations and is created by a process of applying hot wax and dyes to the eggshell in a repetition process to make the detailed, intricate and brightly colored pieces. Most patterns and symbols have spiritual or religious meaning. Traditionally these art pieces were typically displayed around Easter time in a bowl or individually on a stand, however now you can find them all year round as specially displayed high art pieces. These pieces take a lot of patience, time, a steady hand and even sometimes, math to create.
